Riverboat On the Potomac in Colonial Beach

The sand is basically dirt, there's way too many rocks and there was jellyfish one of my friends got stung. It's not really bad though. But there is some really cool rocks to find though and sea glass. And there's no waves but sometimes it's little disappointing buuuut, it was fine. Hope this review helped!

Weather was a bit off, but sitting on the deck for lunch was great. Loved our waitress. Perfect southern accent and very enthusiastic. Poor form on our part, can't remember her name. Kristen, maybe? Anyway she was great and we enjoyed ourselves

Have eaten there multiple times. Have always had good service but can be a little slow. Had the prime rib and clam basket, both were very good. WOULD NOT recommend the fried chicken though. Was way over fried, most was to hard to even eat and flavorless. All other food I’ve had though was very good. Stick to seafood and beef as you’ll be safe.

Very friendly delicious food great mixed drinks busy so pack your patience

The views are great, but sadly that is the only positive thing I have to say about this place. There was hardly anyone there on a Saturday evening (which should have been our first indicator -see photo), but they still didn't seem to have enough staff to handle who they did have. The order wasn't completely right, and the flounder made me sick.

Nice location. Beautiful view of the Potomac river. Price is typical of full service seafood restaurant. Food is give and take. Nothing fancy. Our server, Kristen was very attentive and awesome.

The food was good, service was great! If you are into horse racing this would be the place too go.

Valentine's dinner blackened tuna and kabobs were fantastic

This was a really neat place with great sandwiches. The only downside was the chips that come with the meal were Ruffles, maybe some may like that but it's not a good choice for me.

Restaurant review only:Food was decent. Portions were good. The view of the river was fantastic :)Staff seemed to be overwhelmed Restaurant and bathrooms could have been cleaned or maintained. Location is absolutely perfect and right at the beach for a fun time so swim and play. Prices for sandwiches were decent, but overpriced for most entrees.

The reopening is refreshing for Colonial Beach! Wonderful staff, good food, and relaxing environment.

They have a really good prime rib on Tuesday nights. However, they will not serve you any dinner rolls. Even tho I am told they have them in the freezer. The waitress tells you they are out. That's why they get 4 stars instead of 5. We will see if this changes.

Great views of the local beach and the lake. The food is delicious and cheap as well. Service is pretty good but a little slow (at least the lady that we had) but she did a great job overall. Sit outside and you'll love it. They do have a bar and lots of TVs inside (nothing like that outside). Definitely recommend it if you're in the area.

The food was definitely not gourmet fare but the view is great from the dining room and back deck. The dining room is in the back. I was confused when I first walked in and saw the betting areas up front.

We came here because 35years ago we our spent honeymoon In colonial Beach..Todays the food was great and they even went out there way to make our meal even more special

It was a nice place back in the day, now it just a place for beers, an gaming. The staff seem to be nice.

Waited 20 minutes for a cup of coffee and over an hour for our meal. The food WAS good... once we finally got it. The server was friendly but not a good waitress as she never came back to refill our drinks and waited another 30 minutes after eating to get the check. She ignored us and other tables trying to flag her down for the same. Maybe we'll have better luck on a buffet day when everything is already ready to go, but otherwise, not going back. It's a shame because the views were lovely. Really wanted to like the place...

Food was good but the service was awful. It wasn't crowded when my family and I went, not many people there, my children were served their food last, we were missing lots of our order. Our appetizer was actually served last. Our waitress hardly checked on us for refills or to bring our missing things from our order. Im giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the food was good.

We took a mini 3 day vacation from the craziness of Loudoun County to our favorite spot, Colonial Beach. We spent two fun days with Elizabeth (our bartender). Her personality and exceptions service made us keep coming back each day. We.loved betting on the horses (both live and through Racetrax) playing keno, enjoying beverages and eating our favorite -- CRAB STUFFED MUSHROOMS!. Elizabeth is Amazing and made our trip that much better!

Oysters were big, fresh and delicious. I think our server's name was Katie and she was super nice! The view of the Potomac was fantastic and relaxing. I do hope however, there will be some remodeling to the decor and new carpeting soon. My 5 star rating is for the service, food and views.

Excellent food. Friendly staff but not very organized and no one to greet you once you arrive. Definitely worth the 10$ for the delicious Angus Cheeseburger

We ordered some take out food which was more difficult than I thought it would be. We were sent to what looked like the casino window to order. The lady taking our order did not know anything about the food or how to enter our order into the computer. I am not sure why the actual restaurant staff is not in charge of taking these orders since they know the menu. The order then of course was wrong so we had to wait for them to get us what we wanted. The food prices were not bad and everything we got tasted good. The baskets were mostly fries which was a huge disappointment since we did not even want fries. There were 4 crab balls and 2lbs of fries. If we eat here again it will definitely not be take out and we will not order the baskets.

Great food and service! Hell of a view too!!

Came yo this restaurant our first night in CB! Waited a couple of minutes to be seated but the service was very quick afterwards. We decided to enjoy our meal from the patio and view the water. All of the food was great! I tried almost everyone's dish in my party. Some of the menu items don't have prices and I assume it is because they fluctuate during peak/off peak seasons. I would love to come back for the fish fry Friday if they are still having it!The servers were quick and nice. The lady didn't write any of our orders down but got everything correct. I recommend this place to everyone visiting Colonial Beach. Due to covid service may be slower but it is worth it!

They have a Sunday brunch that is excellent. Buffet style but home cooking and fresh biscuits. 9 to 1
